Moonilal-Kissoon named FCB’s new group deputy CEO

Neela Moonilal-Kissoon has been named the group deputy chief executive officer—Operations and Administration (DCEO) at majority State-owned First Citizens Bank Ltd.

Moonilal-Kissoon’s appointment is effective today, December 27th.

She joins First Citizens’ three-member executive management team which is headed by group chief executive officer Karen Darbasie and includes group deputy chief executive officer—Business Generation Jason Julien.

“The First Citizens Group is pleased to advise of the appointment of Mrs Neela Moonilal-Kissoon to the position of group deputy chief executive officer—Operations and Administration (DCEO) of First Citizens Bank Ltd effective December 27, 2023,” the notice stated.

“Mrs Moonilal-Kissoon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing and Information Systems (Hons), an International Master of Business Administration degree and is certified in Information Systems Auditing, Risk and Information Systems Control. She has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has served as part of the group’s senior management team for over 13 years,” it stated.

“Mrs Moonilal-Kissoon succeeds Dr Sterling Frost, ORTT, following his retirement from service on December 26, 2023 having been identified as the DCEO designate on December 4,” the notice stated.

“The group takes the opportunity to congratulate Mrs Moonilal-Kissoon on her appointment and to thank Dr Frost, ORTT, for his years of service to the group,” it stated.

She is also named as a board member of The Shelter, which “provides a haven in an inclusive environment that allows survivors of domestic violence to heal and grow, restoring balance and harmony, empowering them and their children to have new beginnings through education and advocacy”.
