Money for reporting guns says Crime Stoppers boss

Crime Stoppers has partnered with the TTPS for an illegal gun eradication exercise.

The exercise is aiming to take at least 1 thousand illegal firearms off the street by end of year.

According to Crime Stoppers Director Darrin Carmichael, any person who provides information leading to the seizure of an illegal firearm can earn anywhere from two thousand, five hundred dollars up to ten thousand dollars.

Speaking this morning on Power 102 Digital, Mr Carmichael urged persons to report any crime being committed as he noted that often times, criminals arm themselves with illegal firearms while in the process of committing a crime.
