The Ministry of Health has been given robots courtesy the WHO/PAHO.
The Health Service Robots (HSRs) were handed over during a ceremony at the Ministry’s headquarters, Queen’s Park East, Port of Spain.
These robots were funded by the India – UN Development Partnership Fund.
The Robots are intended to reduce the administrative burden on healthcare workers, allowing them to focus on more critical patient care tasks, which are crucial for maintaining patient care continuity.
The eight Healthcare Service Robots will be strategically distributed in the following manner based on its capabilities and functionality
