The Ministry of Health has once again reported a staggering number of new positive cases of covid19, 918 today.
However it said those cases reflect samples taken during the period, January 11th – 18th and not the last 24hrs.
In its latest clinical update, the Ministry also recorded 14 more covid19 related fatalities. This takes the total number of deaths in T&T, since the start of the pandemic, to 3,238.
There are currently 16,868 active positive cases of covid19 in T&T of which 679 have been hospitalised.
The Ministry provided additional data related to deaths by vaccination status, indicating that of the 3,238 fatalities on record, 189 were fully vaccinated.
The Chief Medical Office, speaking at a Ministry of Health Media Briefing today stated that data regarding deaths among the vaccinated population is tabulated on a weekly basis.
