The Ministry of Health, today, recorded 22 more covid19 related fatalities. This takes the total number of deaths in T&T, since the start of the pandemic, to 2, 973.
In its latest clinical update, the Ministry also reported 579 new positive cases of the virus.
There are currently 15,436 active positive cases of covid19 in T&T of which 625 have been hospitalised.
The Minister provided additional data related to deaths by vaccination status, indicating that of the 2, 973 fatalities on record 160 were fully vaccinated. Some 2,423 were noted to be not fully vaccinated. The Ministry also indicated that 390 deaths out of the total were recorded prior to May 24, 2021.
