MoE brings holiday cheer to St Jude’s School for Girls

The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister – Gender and Child Affairs unit, brought holiday cheer to students at the St Jude’s School for Girls on Monday, with the distribution of 50 gift sets.

The Health, Safety and Environmental Unit of the MoE coordinated the collection and packaging of the items during the period December 1st to 16th, which were donated by the staff of the Ministry of Education at Education Towers, St Vincent Streets Port of Spain.

Lisa Morris-Julian, Minister in the Ministry of Education, presented the packages to the young ladies during their Christmas event on Monday.

In her brief address, Minister Morris-Julian expressed happiness that the MoE chose the St Jude’s School for Girls, as the beneficiary to receive the Christmas gifts. She told them the government is providing many opportunities at the school for their personal development and they must take full advantage.

During her visit to the school, Morris-Julian also toured the facility and a got a first hand view of what the girls have been doing.
