The government is treating the issue of migration in a holistic way.
This position is put forward by Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Dr Amery Browne.
In the Senate today, Dr Browne was asked by Senator Charrise Seepersad whether government has adopted any new strategies to address Venezuelan migrant issues in collaboration with the Inter- Agency Coordination Platform for refugees and migrants from Venezuela.
Dr Browne answered the question on behalf of the Minister of National Security.
Dr Browne was also asked several supplemental questions on the topic relating to the education of migrant children and possible inclusion of migrants in the tax system.
