Met Service: Adverse Weather Alert In Effect Until 6pm Wednesday.

An adverse weather alert – yellow level – is in effect.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service says it started at 11:27am on Tuesday and will end at 6pm on Wednesday.

The Meteorological Service says due to an active Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone, there is a high chance of occasional heavy showers and/or thunderstorms with the threat of gusty winds in excess of 55km/hr.

It says street/flash flooding and localized ponding are likely in heavy downpours.
