The Met Office has issued a Hazardous Seas Alert #1 – Yellow Level
It says relatively strong winds are expected to render sea conditions rough and choppy in open waters, particularly in eastern offshore areas.
Wind waves are forecast to be in excess of 2.5 metres which can be especially hazardous to small crafts and offshore operations.
The Met Office say conditions at seawalls along exposed coastlines can be exacerbated at high tide.
Seafarers and those particularly with offshore marine interests are advised to exercise extreme caution.
