UPDATE: Met Office: Hazardous Seas Alert In Place Until Wednesday

A hazardous seas alert, yellow level, is in effect.

The Meteorological Service says it will come to an end tomorrow at 12pm.

It will affect the North-exposed near shore coastal waters of Trinidad and Tobago.

In its update the Met Service said large breaking waves above 2.5 meters, due to the moderate low-level winds, have been observed along north-exposed coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago.

Choppy conditions are also likely especially along northern facing coastlines. Impacts have decreased significantly but caution is still advised for all marine interests.

Sea bathers, fishermen, small craft operators, and other coastal interests should continue to exercise caution along the coast.
