Met Office discontinued its Adverse Weather Alert

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has discontinued its Adverse Weather Alert, while its Riverine Flood Warning remains at  Yellow Level. As a result, the TTMS has indicated that the threat of impactful weather has passed

The agency has advised that tonight we can expect fair to partly cloudly conditions with the chance of the odd shower. Tomorrow,  we can expect predominantly hot and sunny conditions,  which may be interrupted by a few cloudy patches with the isolated shower. There is the low chance of the heavier shower and thunderstorm during the afternoon period.

In light of this, the ODPM would like to encourage citizens to avoid becoming complacent now that Tropical Storm Karen has passed. Do continue to prepare yourselves, your families and protect your property against flooding, landslides and high winds that are common during this Rainy/Hurricane Season. Learn more on how to prepare yourself by downloading the ODPM’s Preparedness Guide at www.odpm.gov.tt/hurricaneguide.
