Men, 52, 60, Charged Following Store Breaking In Chaguanas

Two men, who were held for a report of store breaking last Friday, appeared virtually before a Chaguanas Magistrate Monday charged with store breaking and larceny.

DANNIRAM RAMJOHN, 60, and ELLIS MOLLINEAU, 52, appeared before Chaguanas Magistrate, Adrian Darmanie, on October 25th, to answer to the charges of store breaking and larceny.

RAMJOHN, of no fixed place of abode, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to nine months’ hard labour while MOLLINEAU, of Suresh Street, Chaguanas, pleaded not guilty and was granted ninety-five thousand bail with a surety.

MOLLINEAU is expected to reappear in court on November 22nd 2021.

According to police reports, on October 22nd 2021, officers received a report that two men were allegedly seen broking into a Chaguanas storefront.

Officers attached to the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department conducted investigations and learned that stole eighteen thousand dollars’ worth of clothing were stolen.

Following further investigations, a few hours later, the stolen items were recovered.

Two men were later arrested and charged by WPC Sealy, of the Chaguanas CID, on October 22nd 2021.
