Mechanical issues to blame as parts of St James without water

The pipe-borne water supply to parts of St James has been disrupted as a result of mechanical issues at the Brieves Road Booster Station.

Emergency repair works are underway and according to WASA, these are expected to be completed by 4pm on Friday.

Areas affected include: Upper Dibe Road, Belle Vue and Dundonald Hill, St. James.

WASA says it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas, following the resumption of operations at the facility.
It adds that a limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.
