Mechanical issues at Picton #2 Booster leads to disruption in service for Belmont and environs

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Belmont and environs served by the Picton #2 Booster Station, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to mechanical problems at the facility.

Emergency repair works currently ongoing are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. today.

Areas affected include:
Upper Picton Road
Upper Prizgar Lands
Richardson Lane
Quarry Street
St. John Street
Laventille Road
Upper St. Francois Valley Road
Upper Belmont Valley Road
Layan Hill
China Town
Durant Street
Mc Kai Road
Belle Eau Road
Regent Street
Gonzales
Upper St. Barbs

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
