Massy Stores Trinidad has signed an agreement with SuperPharm Limited for the sale of its in-store pharmacy assets.
Kavi Panday, Chief Executive Officer, Massy Stores Trinidad, said: “Massy Stores was the first to develop the in-store retail pharmacy model in Trinidad and the strategic relationship with SuperPharm Limited will draw on the operational strengths of a proven leader in pharmacy operations, to deliver an enhanced experience to Massy Stores’ customers.
Panday said this move is consistent with Massy’s transformational agenda as they remain focused on innovating supermarket retail in Trinidad.
The new arrangement is expected to cause minimal disruption of the pharmacies’ operation during the period of transition.
Massy Stores also confirmed that notwithstanding this transition, its customers will continue to receive all the benefits of the Massy Card loyalty programme when shopping at the in-store pharmacies.
The in-store pharmacies will operate independently when the sale has been completed.
