“Martin was the soul of Woodford Café”

“Martin was the soul of Woodford Café,” this according to management at one of Trinidad’s favourite hang out spots.

In a statement following Martin’s passing yesterday due to a car accident management at the establishment said Martin was “silent yet ever-present, purposeful, and kind, Martin put his heart into us and is a large part of our success. He was also one of the heads of the Woodford Café family and one of the cornerstones of our vibrant culture.”

Woodford Cafe also said close friends and family will need time to come to terms with Martin’s passing – they would be for the day, but will reopen on Wednesday.

The restaurant will also be closed for his celebration of life, with more details to come in the upcoming days as his family makes the necessary arrangements.

“Martin was also very driven, so we know that closing the restaurant to pay homage to his legacy here would have received his ire. He would have wanted it that way.”

“Words can not express how deeply we feel his loss, but every time we serve a drink or a meal, every time we Soca, and every time we bring a smile to our customer’s faces.”
