A Maraval couple was arrested and a quantity of stolen items recovered by officers of the North Eastern Division, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the district this week.
Officers of the Maracas Bay Police Station and the North Eastern Division Task Force conducted the exercise between 9:00 am on Sunday and 3:30 am on Monday during which they executed a search warrant at the Le Platte Village, Maraval, home of a 30-year-old male suspect.
There, the officers found a refrigerator, a stove, a wardrobe, a kitchen cupboard and a mattress, which were reported stolen in the district on April 17th 2019.
The man and a 29-year-old woman of the same address who were at the house at the time of the search were arrested in connection with the find.
Investigations are ongoing.
