Marabella man dies after fight with Venezuelan immigrants

A Marabella resident passed away after a brutal attack by Venezuelan migrants.

35 year-old Glen Sutton, of Marabella, and his friend were trying to escape from a gang of Venezuelans who attacked them outside the Gasparillo station on Easter Monday morning.

Villagers who witnessed the incident said shortly after 6 am, a fight broke out near the One Ten Bar located opposite the station.

A Venezuelan migrant was also wounded when the van hit him.

He is warded in a serious condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.

Sutton died while his friend, the van driver, accidently drove over him during the scuffle.
