The decapitated body of a man was found in St James last night.
Reports are that between 7 pm and 9 pm on Saturday, a resident of Upper Dibe Road heard a loud crashing noise in the bushes near his home.
The resident told police that he did not veer out to check until some 20 minutes later and found a trail of blood leading to a river bank off Upper Dibe Road.
The man called police, who searched the bank and found the headless body which they described as dark skinned.
Investigators are now trying to establish the person’s identity.
