Man who shot at several cars arrested by police

A man, who allegedly shot at several cars in Cunupia on Tuesday night, has been arrested by police.

According to police reports, a Cunupia couple was at their Marshall Trace home around 11:05 pm on Tuesday when they heard several loud explosions.

Minutes later, the couple found several bullet holes in their vehicles, which were parked in their yard.

On checking CCTV footage the couple saw a man dressed in a hoodie and a pair of three-quarter length pants running through their property.

The couple contacted the Cunupia Police station and shortly after a team of officers intercepted a red Nissan Tiida along the Uriah Butler highway, in the vicinity of Price Plaza.

Two men, one of whom fit the description of the man allegedly seen in the couple’s yard, were arrested.

Investigations are continuing.
