Man Walks Around With A knife Coming Out of His HEAD in NYC

An Instagram video of the incident, which showed Roberto Perez walking around despite being bloodied, went viral. Onlookers appear far more stunned than Perez about what had happened.

The 36-year-old Perez can be seen talking with people before walking toward an FDNY ambulance.

“He looked like he didn’t even feel it,” said one witness, according to the New York Post. “The guy was refusing to go inside the ambulance.”

A security guard who works nearby said: “I’m traumatized from seeing that. It looks like a scene out of a freaking movie.”

Perez was not seriously injured because the blade of the cleaver did not penetrate his skull, according to New York City Police. He was listed in stable condition at Harlem Hospital.

The incident happened around noon at East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem.

Multiple witnesses had initially said the leadup to the incident appeared to be a domestic fight. Witnesses said Perez allegedly got physical with a female, who responded by cleaving him in the head.

However, NYPD said Perez and a 34-year-old woman were actually on the same side of a dispute against another man.

Sources told the New York Post a group had approached Perez and his female companion, Paola Zuleta, and demanded her purse. She refused and the men then allegedly stabbed both Perez and Zuleta.

A doctor at the hospital where Perez and the woman were treated said, “They both appeared to be on drugs,” according to the New York Post.
