A 56-year-old man surrendered to Port of Spain police on Monday night after he admitted to stabbing a woman.
Further reports indicate that the man went to a guest house with the woman near the Port of Spain General Hospital at around 11 pm to have sex.
The man was unable to get an erection and the woman left him.
The man got angry and followed the woman onto the street, stabbing her in her face and body with a broken glass bottle.
The man then walked to the Central Police Station where he surrendered to the police.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she remained in critical condition up to midday on Tuesday.
