A man was killed while attending a Wake on Monday.
Around 1:30a.m, Bissoon “Pedro” Ramkissoon, 42, of Freeport was attending a Wake for an elderly resident in the village when he got into an altercation with a group of men. One of the men stabbed him once in the chest. He died at the scene.
Bissoon is a father of three and grandfather of one. He worked as a PH driver on the Freeport/St Mary’s route. Residents of the area described him as a quiet man, who was seen socializing with the group of men earlier in the day. They are trying to come to terms with the death of one of their own, and the murder in their village which is usually quiet and without incident.
Thus far, no one has been arrested for the crime. Police are continuing investigations.
