A 39-year-old man had to be treated at hospital for stab wounds to his body, following a robbery at his family’s Cunupia home on Thursday night.
Gansham Rajkumar was at home around 9:15pm, when two masked and armed men approached him and demanded the keys to his vehicle.
On notifying the bandits that he did not have the keys, they beat him about his face and stabbed him three times about his body.
They then relieved him of his wallet which contained $800 cash and one ‘Plum’ cell phone valued at $900.
The suspects then escaped.
Police are continuing investigations.
