A 26-year-old Valencia man was murdered while he slept during the early hours of this morning.
Reports state that Javon “Shorto” Clement, was asleep next to his 19-year-old girlfriend at at his John Trace, Benny Road home around 1.15 a.m., when a man dressed in dark clothing armed with a firearm entered the house.
The suspect shot Clement and then doused his girlfriend with gasoline.
However, she managed to escape.
Police recovered 22 nine millimetre spent shells and 12 40-calibre spent shells.
The killer reportedly escaped into the bushes.
