A 45-year-old man is warded in a serious condition at hospital after he was shot by a man who had a problem being “snapped” at by the victim’s dogs.
Around 9:50pm last night, the victim and a friend were walking their dogs along Munroe Road in Cunupia, when they were confronted by a man who said that the men needed to control their dogs, after one of the animals ‘snapped’ at him.
There was an exchange of words, and the suspect left the scene.
However, the man returned a few minutes later with another individual who was holding a firearm.
The armed suspect shot at the two friends without warning, before the two fled the scene.
The 46-year-old was shot in his abdomen, his left thigh and his right thigh. His friend was unharmed.
The injured man was taken to the Chaguanas Hospital where he was treated.
Police are searching for the two suspects.
