An overnight shooting in Santa Cruz has claimed the life of a 28-year-old man.
Dead is Emmanuel Phillips, aka Caveman, of La Canoa, Lower Santa Cruz.
Reports state that at around 12:45 am on Sunday, residents reported hearing a series of gunshots at Monroe Road and on investigation, the body of a man was seen lying on the road.
However, when police arrived, the body was not to be found.
It was later determined that the victim was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex by three men but died on arrival.
Police are continuing investigations.
