Crown Point Police Officers have arrested two men in connection with a robbery.
Around 8:30 p.m on Thursday, an 18-year-old cashier was working at a mini-mart located at Allfields Trace, Lowlands, when a man armed with a cutlass entered and announced a robbery.
The assailant demanded that she hand over a quantity of cash from the register, two boxes of Du Maurier cigarettes and a pack of wrapping paper.
The man then ordered the victim to raise up her clothing after which he touched her private parts.
The man then made his escape in a waiting white Toyota Aqua.
A report was made to the Shirvan Road Police Station, where an all-points-bulletin was circulated by the Tobago Operational Centre.
The officers intercepted the vehicle in the vicinity of Guy Street, Canaan.
A 28-year-old skilled labourer of Cocrico Avenue, Buccoo, and a 20-year-old labourer of Buccoo New Road, Buccoo, were both arrested and an undisclosed sum of cash along with two boxes of Du Maurier cigarettes were recovered.
The vehicle was confiscated and processed and fingerprint impressions were found on a bottle and the exterior of the driver and front passenger doors.
The men are expected to be charged for robbery with aggravation.
