Police have yet to release the identity of the man, who was seriously injured in a vehicular accident along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Sunday afternoon.
Around 4.45 pm, the driver of a silver Nissan Almera lost control of his vehicle while heading east along the highway.
The incident occurred near the Santa Rosa race track.
The car crashed into a concrete divider on the left shoulder of the road.
Police and emergency services responded and took the man to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope, where he remained warded in critical condition.
