Man found with gunshots wounds behind wheel of crashed car

A man identified as Dirwin Gokool, was gunned down in Port of Spain on Friday afternoon.

Police state that they responded to a report of loud explosions along Laventille Road around 1:15pm and on arrival observed that a vehicle had crashed into a wall on the southern side of the roadway at the intersection of Alexander Place and Laventille Road.

They then discovered Gokool’s body slumped over the steering wheel with gunshot wounds about his body.

The 45-year-old victim hailed from Belgrade Street, East Dry River.

Police are continuing with their investigation.
