A man was found lying in a pool of blood along a roadway in Barataria this morning.
Around 6am, residents of upper Sixth Avenue, in the vicinity of Fourth Street, heard a series of loud explosions.
Upon investigating, they found a man lying on the roadway in a pool of blood.
The police and paramedics were notified.
Officers from the North Eastern Division responded and conveyed the injured man to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
The man’s condition is said to be serious.
Police have yet to identify the victim.
