Valencia police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 25-year-old man, who died on Wednesday afternoon after being struck on the head by a dump truck mirror.
Prakash Surat of Prune Trace, Valencia, was in the open tray of a Kia pickup around 5:45pm, which was driving along the Valencia Old Road.
Upon reaching Clarence Trace, the pickup swerved into the opposite lane into the path of a dump truck and sideswiped it.
The dump truck driver said he heard and felt a thud on his right side-view mirror and when he stopped, he saw Surat on the roadway bleeding.
Cpl Garcia of the Valencia Police Post is continuing investigations.
