An argument between relatives almost turned deadly last night, after one man chopped the other several times about the body in Brazil Village.
Reports are that around 10:50pm, the 30-year-old victim was at his Brazilome Branch Trace home with other relatives, when he had an argument with the 29-year-old old suspect.
It is said that when the argument became heated, both men armed themselves with cutlasses and began pelting chops at the each other.
However, the 30-year old was chopped several times by his younger relative. Other family members who saw the attack subdued the man and called the police.
The victim was taken to the Arima Hospital, where he was treated and remains warded in a stable condition.
The suspect is now in police custody.
