Man charged with sexual assault of wife with a broomstick

A 38 year old Maxi Taxi driver is charged with beating his wife and sexually assaulting her with a broom stick.

He appeared in the Princess town Court before magistrate Indira Misir-Gosine charged with grievous sexual assault and assault by beating.

The man’s father also faced the charge of assaulting the woman by threatening to kill her during an altercation on Saturday in Princes Town at a house the three shared.
