Man charged for murder outside Gloster Lodge primary school

A 29-year-old Belmont man has appeared before a Master of the High Court charged with the murder of Amoa Howe, which occurred on February 20th, 2024.

Kenson Hector, was charged with the offence when he appeared before Master Shabiki Cazabon, in the North Court B, on May 24th, 2024.

The Sufficiency Hearing has been set for February 28th, 2025.

Murdered man – Amoa Howe

Howe, 50, of Gloster Lodge Road, Belmont, was close to his home on February 20th, 2024, when he was shot and killed by gunmen.

Extensive investigations into the incident resulted in the arrest of a male suspect on May 15th, 2024, by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force.

Investigations were supervised by W/ASP (Ag.) Bridglal, Insps. John and Mongroo and Insp. (Ag.) Ramsumair, all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region One.

Hector was charged by PC Mootie, also of HBI Region One, on May 23rd, 2024, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on that same date.
