ELVIS SOODEEN, 59, of Union Road, Marabella, was sentenced to four years in prison by Magistrate Rajendra Rambachan when he
appeared at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 9th March, 2021.
On Saturday 27th February, 2021, around 7 pm, a Marabella resident secured and left his home located on Southern Main Road. When he returned on Wednesday 3rd March, 2021 around 12.15 pm he discovered that his home had been broken into.
Further checks revealed that a 20-pound gas cylinder and nail products valued at $3,250, were missing. The scene was processed by WPC Huggins and PC Sooknanan.
Video footage was reviewed and the suspect was arrested and charged the following day for housebreaking and larceny by PC Ramlal
