Lost Tribe’s Creative Director talks Lavway, Carnival Monday and Tuesday and what else is on the horizon

Broadway meets Trinidad Carnival Magic.

That’s how Creative Director for The Lost Tribe Valmiki Maharaj has described the forthcoming presentation of the Tribe family for this unconventional Carnival 2021.
Though not what we would expect in terms of a parade on the street, The Lost Tribe is taking things to the small screen.

Speaking to izzsomedia, Maharaj said they had to make a lot of changes when the pandemic hit and that also placed them on a journey of ideas that led to Lavway – a made for television film that will air on Valentine’s Night, February 14.
He said this is a big offering from the Tribe Group, Lost Tribe and Ultimate Events.

So, we had to ask, whose idea was it to come up with LAVWAY?

Will LAVWAY be a one time production, as we are in a pandemic, or will this production now be part of our Carnival calendar?

This is a full scale production, were you guys able to keep on a great deal of your production staff for costumes etc. or did you have to slash jobs?

Being true Carnival babies, what do you guys intend to do once what is supposed to be Carnival Monday and Tuesday hits next week?

Finally…Can we look out for more events in the coming months?
