Lopinot man murdered

The mur­der of 44-year-old Randy May from Lopinot man has pushed up the murder toll yet again. Police officers from the Arou­ca Po­lice Sta­tion responded to a report at around 11:30 pm after a resident reported hearing several loud explosions.

Police ar­rived on the scene and found the man ly­ing dead, out­side his home. He had been shot sev­er­al times about his body. Po­lice al­so said the man’s pet pit­bull was shot and killed and was also near to the man’s body.

Of­fi­cers from the Arou­ca CID, the Crime Scene Unit and the Re­gion 2 are investigating and suggested the shoot­ing may have been gang-re­lat­ed.
