Loc Gov elections pushed back – Population deserved a “heads up”

Political Leader of the Movement for Social Justice, David Abdullah, is of the view that citizens and the parliament should have been given an earlier heads up on the plan by the government  to extend the life of local government bodies by one year.

Speaking at a news briefing on Sunday, Mr Abdullah said if this was done it would have placed both the parliament and the population in  a better position.
