American gospel music legend, Kirk Franklin is known worldwide for changing gospel music forever. However, he is now under fire for allegedly cursing out his son Kerrion in a leaked audio recording that is currently going viral on social media.
The evidence came courtesy of a recorded phone call that appears to show the Christian hitmaker spewing a profanity-fueled rant toward the younger Franklin – even threatening to put his ‘foot in the a**’ and ‘break the neck’ of the 33-year-old.

According to Media Take Out, two-years ago, Kerrion claimed his father tried to kill him. In a now-deleted screenshot published by the entertainment outlet, he alleges Franklin was “sneaky.”
“If anything happens it’s Kirk Franklin’s sneaky a**,” Kerrion wrote in the caption according to MTO. “A lot of funny [redacted] has been and he’s in L.A. right now hiding from me and ii haven’t heard from him. So I’m just leaving this here for safety purposes. I can’t deal with this [redacted] on my own anymore. I’m done. My life is too valuable.”
After hearing the clip, some took the elder Franklin’s side while others condemned the gospel artist for speaking that way. He then posted a video addressing the phone leak and spent a moment apologizing to his fans.
Franklin admitted to having a toxic, tense relationship with his almost 33-year-old son and stated they’d been to counseling for the family matter.
He added that the recording was part of an argument the pair had and said people didn’t get to see the part where he called their therapist to intervene. Franklin asked for compassion and prayer.
