PanAm Aquatics Swimming Championships formerly the Unión Americana de Natación took place from June 2nd – June 5th in T&T at the National Aquatic Centre in Couva.

The games officially began in 1948 during the Olympic games in London, England, with the purpose of unifying aquatic activities in the Americas into a single regional and international organization.

The group was split into four zones, including South America, Central America (including the Caribbean), the U.S. and Canada, which all make up the greater group so that each zone is represented equally among the Americas.
