Lifeguards not happy after beach reopening

Beaches were reopened on Monday from 5 am – 12 pm in Trinidad and Tobago and beach goers wasted no time in and hitting up the beaches early o’clock according to reports.

But while those who took a dip in the salt were elated there was one group who did not share that sentiment.

Lifeguards say that they would prefer if the hours were regularized.

President of the NUGFW Lifeguard Branch Augustus Sylvester told the media on Monday that while the beaches will open at 5am lifeguards will not report to work until 8 am.
