President of the Life Guard Section of the National Union of Government and Federated Workers, Augustus Sylvester, says the group is expecting a high turnout of beach goers this weekend.
On Monday the restriction to visit beaches was lifted.
Speaking with News Power Now this afternoon, Mr Sylvester said there are some challenges the lifeguards will like to see urgently addressed to put them in a better position to carry out their duties.
Mr Sylvester said there is also need for additional manpower.
Mr Sylvester also shared some advice with persons who are planning to the visit the beaches this weekend.
