Licensed firearm owner “lights up” two bandits in D’Abadie – one dies

One bandit is dead and another wounded after they were shot by the owner of a licenced firearm.

Reports state that the two gunmen went to rob Leela’s Bar at Red Hill, D’Abadie, shortly after 9pm on Wednesday night, while the 56-year-old FUL holder was playing Scrabble.

When one of the suspects opened fire in the direction of the customers, the FUL holder whipped out his firearm and shot both suspects.

The deceased is 18-year-old Kerdell Wint of Samman Drive, Red Hill, D’Abadie, while the wounded suspect is 18-year-old Tristan James also of Samman Drive.

Wint died at the scene while James was taken to the hospital by police where he remains under guard.

Eleven spent 9mm Spent shells were recovered at the scene.
