Three persons were arrested in relation to the theft of TSTT cables following surveillance and searches in Carlsen Field, Chaguanas, and Mundo Nuevo. They were subsequently charged with seven counts of larceny which allegedly occurred on August 9th, 2021, August 16th, 2021, and September 15th, 2021.
Lorenzo Moonsammy, 21, and Travis Ramcharitar, 20 both of Eagle Drive, Carlsen Field, Chaguanas were each charged with two counts of larceny.
Daryl Benny, 20 of Juan Fuentes Trace, Mundo Nuevo was charged with three counts of larceny.
The charges were laid by WPC Sampson and PC Persad. The three are scheduled to appear before an Arima Magistrate on Monday 27th September, 2021.
Investigations were supervised by Supt Edwards, Insp Ward, Insp Mascall, Sgt Bissessar, and Ag Cpl Bernard. It included members of the La Horquetta Criminal Investigations Department, the Area East Operations Unit (AEOU), La Horquetta Charge Room, and TSTT security personnel.
