Kool-Aid in the U.S recalled due to pieces of metal or glass in the canisters

Kraft Heinz, the manufacturers of Kool-Aid is recalling batches of the product “due to the potential presence of foreign material, specifically very tiny pieces of metal or glass.”

In a report by BallerAlert, Costco alerted customers who appeared to have purchased canisters of 82.5oz Kool-Aid Tropical Punch Mix with “Best When Used By” dates of August 31st and September 1st.

Another notification published by Stater Bros, a grocery store chain in Southern California, claimed that the metal and glass fragments may have been mistakenly introduced into the product during the manufacturing process.

“The company discovered the issue during an internal review at the manufacturing facility,” Stater Bros said.

“There have been no consumer complaints and no reports of illness or injury related to this issue to date.”
