Dean Emeritus Knolly Clarke: “I am disturbed and flabbergasted”

Dean Emeritus Canon Knolly Clarke said he was very disturbed by pictures sent to him and what he saw in the Newspapers yesterday. He said he also echoed the sentiments of many members of the public regarding the near naked fashion show segment featuring women in bikinis and bathing suits parading through the Church on Sunday as part of StyleWeek.

Social media was abuzz from Sunday evening when the public was shocked and expressed outrage that a sacred space could be so desecrated.

He also said Anglican Bishop Reverend Claude Berkley might have to call an emergency meeting to apologise to the Anglican faithful and the country. He is worried that this transgression may incur the wrath of Jamaican Archbishop Alfred Reid.

Dean of the Cathedral said the organizers were given strict guidelines which they did not adhere to causing the embarrassing display in the Church.
