Kim Kardashian and Ray Jay’s sex tape made more than $1M in six weeks

Kim Kardashian and Ray Jay’s sex tape was a success right out of the gate, making more than a million bucks in the first 6 weeks after its release.

This according to Vivid Entertainment CEO via email confirmation sent to both parties before the tape was released.

An email to Kardashian, purportedly from Vivid Entertainment CEO Steve Hirsch, claims the explicit tape raked in $1,424,636.63 in revenue, including $1,255,578.50, from DVD sales.

Vivid’s Steve Hirsch has also openly discussed the deal in the past, calling it a ‘difficult deal to get done’ because Kim did not want the tape out.

The tape, reportedly shot in Cabo San Lucas, was subsequently released by Vivid Entertainment on March 14, with Kardashian’s lawsuit dismissed on April 27 – just four days before she was informed of its sales figures.
