Newly opened KFC in Sangre Grande was robbed on Monday morning.
Bandits made away with cash and electronics from a safe inside the restaurant.
According ADD News TT the supervisor of KFC Xtra Foods Plaza, Torture Road, Sangre Grande locked the doors to the restaurant at around 12.40 am before leaving.
She returned at around 7.50 am and saw the alarm system was tampered with and the office ransacked.
A safe that contained $7000 in cash, five Samsung cellphones, and a Samsung tablet was stolen.
Investigators said the bandits cut a hole in the roof of the restaurant, crawled through the ventilation system, and left through a security door.
Crime scene investigators and officers of the Sangre Grande CID are continuing enquiries.
