Keshorn Walcott grabbed silver in the men’s Javelin in Switzerland

T&T’s national Javelin record holder, Walcott picked up silver today in Switzerland as he came second with a throw of 85.16m in the men’s Javelin.
Walcott, competing at the Spitzen Leichtathletik meet, threw his best of 85.16 on his second attempt with Germany’s Johannes Vetter topping him for the main spot with a throw of 92.14m.
With the Olympic Games being just twenty three days away, the thrower’s next objective would be breaking the 90m barrier.
Walcott has one more pre-Olympic meet to go for the Olympic Champion before he heads to Tokyo – he is currently ranked third in this year’s furthest throws.
